The Black Swan - February 2016 Menu Launch
I'll start by stating that this isn't a review, it's merely a glimpse of Black Swan's new menu. I was invited alongside many, many, many other bloggers to their menu launch last night; hat's off to Black Swan and their PR Company it was a brilliant event and I got to meet some lovely people to boot.
So what can you expect should you take a trip to Black Swan in the next coming months?
How about some leek and pearl barley risotto topped with crispy leeks for starters? Not normally served on spoons, although in a weird way I sort of like the spoon-fed idea, but then again a dish full of the stuff would be welcome too.
If you're a fish lover then the new pan fried seabass with butternut squash puree, roasted squash and baby leek and mushroom filled pasta parcel is sure to be right up your street.
If you're more of a meat lover then the 24 hour slow cooked lamb breast and roasted lamb rump with purple sprouting broccoli, caramelised shallot and mint jus (or gravy in Yorkshire) will definitely more than satisfy any meat cravings you might have.
If you're a veggie then they have something new for you too, gnocchi with Jerusalem artichoke puree and greens. Proving that veggies aren't always left as a second thought.
If you've got room for dessert they have a number of new offerings, including rum soaked pineapple topped with strawberry sorbet, brownie tart topped with honeycomb and rhubarb creme brulee. I'll definitely be going back for some more of that brownie tart or rhubarb creme brulee!
If you decide to pay Black Swan a visit don't forget that they have an incredibly well stocked bar with rotating craft ales on tap. Go on, treat yourself to a flight of beers!
